About VUT
In 1966, the Vaal University of Technology (VUT) was founded as an advanced technical education college. In 1979, it became a Technikon. The institution became a University of Technology in 2004 as a result of the restructuring of higher education, and since then, its activities and reach have significantly increased. The university currently works out of the Science Park at the Sebokeng Campus, which has plenty of unused space for potential growth, and its main campus in Vanderbijlpark.
