About TUT
In 2004, three technical colleges merged to establish Tshwane University of Technology. By giving all of their students access to our communities and an academic home, their merger sought to address historical injustices. With seven colleges offering programs in science, engineering and technology, business and administration, education, the humanities, and the arts, they have quickly expanded to become South Africa's largest contact university. According to Times Higher Education (THE), TUT is among the top 1000 institutions in the world, and its engineering programs are among the top 300.
