Congratulations on being accepted to the University of Pretoria! As a new first-year student, you’re about to begin an exciting academic journey — and this guide will help you navigate the registration and orientation process so you’re ready for your first day of classes
1. Complete Your Student Contract
Before registering, you must complete your student contract:
-
Log in to the UP Student Portal and complete the contract under the “Admissions” section.
-
Print and sign the contract.

Submit it by courier to Private Bag X20, Hatfield, 0028, or place it in the designated drop-off bins on Hatfield Campus.
-
Registration will only be possible once your contract has been verified. Be sure to check that there is no “contract hold” on your profile.
2. Pay Your Fees

-
Use the official UP banking details when making payments.
Students with bursaries should confirm any specific payment arrangements in advance.
