How to check your TUT application status for 2024

About TUT

Tshwane University of Technology was formed in 2004 following the merger of three technikons. Their merger aimed at redressing the inequalities of the past by providing access to all our communities and an academic home for all their students. In that short time, they have grown into the largest contact University in South Africa, with seven faculties offering programmes in science, engineering and technology, business and management, education, humanities and the arts. TUT have been ranked by Times Higher Education (THE) in 2018 as one of the top 1000 universities globally and their programmes in engineering in the top 300. THE has also ranked us eighth in South Africa. In 2017, University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) ranked it as the number one University of Technology in Africa.

TUT also has campuses in eMalahleni, Mbombela and Polokwane, as well as service points in Durban and Cape Town.

TUT Required Documents for Undergraduates

  1. National Senior Certificate (NSC) or Equivalent: Proof of completion of secondary education, typically in the form of the National Senior Certificate or an equivalent qualification.
  2. Identity Document (ID) or Passport: Valid proof of identity, such as a South African ID or passport.
  3. Application Form: Completed application form with accurate and detailed information.
  4. Application Fee Payment Confirmation: Proof of payment for the application fee, if applicable.
  5. Academic Transcripts (if applicable): If you have attended any tertiary institutions previously, provide academic transcripts as evidence of your academic history.
  6. Admission Points Score (APS): Documentation or information related to your Admission Points Score (APS), which is calculated based on your National Senior Certificate results.
  7. Language Proficiency Test Results (if applicable): If English is not your first language, you may need to submit results from standardized language proficiency tests like TOEFL or IELTS.
  8. Proof of Residence (if applicable): Proof of residence may be required for certain programs, demonstrating that you meet residency criteria.

How to check your Status

Follow these easy steps to track your application

Step 1: Visit  TUT ITS iEnabler

Step 2: Enter your ID number or alternatively enter your surname, full name and date of birth. 

Your status will then be displayed
