1. South African Undergraduate Applicants

If you are applying for the first time to study towards a degree, you must apply through the Central Applications Office (CAO).

The CAO system allows you to:

  • Apply to multiple universities
  • Select up to six programme choices on one form

International Applicants

International students must apply directly to UKZN online.

Important:

  • No late applications are accepted for international students
  • Admission is competitive and based on academic performance

Applying to UKZN through CAO is straightforward if you follow these steps:
