Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa Bursary 2024


Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) functions as a subsidiary of Coca-Cola Beverages Africa (CCBA) and serves as the bottler for The Coca-Cola Company (TCCC). This recently amalgamated private entity operates throughout South Africa, engaging in the manufacturing, bottling, and distribution of non-alcoholic beverages to a diverse range of customers, including large retailers and small traders.

In 2021, CCBSA initiated the Study Buddy Fund, demonstrating its dedication to facilitating access to further education and training for deserving students. Since the inception of the program, CCBSA has allocated over R8 million in investments to support students in their academic pursuits.

About the Study Buddy Fund Bursary

Coca-Cola Beverages South Africa (CCBSA) is inviting students to apply for the Study Buddy Fund bursary programme, for the 2024 academic year.

Bursaries will be awarded for undergraduate studies in ANY field.
Preference will be given to students residing in communities which CCBSA has operations (however students from other areas may also apply): Mdantsane; Motherwell; Phoenix; Inanda; Ntuzuma; KwaMashu; Greater Eldorado Park Community Forum (including Freedom Park and Motsoaledi); Tembisa; Greater Nigel; PTA West Ward 55; Westenburg to Seshego; Alabama and Mangaung.

Coverage Value

The bursary will provide cover for the following expenses: tuition fees, textbooks, accommodation and meal allowances.

Apart from financial support, the bursary also provides holistic support.

Requirements

Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):

  • You must be a South African citizen
  • You must be completing Matric in 2023
  • You must pass Matric with a bachelors’ admission
  • You must have been accepted to study at a university in South Africa
  • You must preferably be residing within one of the CCBSA’s host communities (advantageous)
  • You must NOT be affiliated with CCBSA and its affiliates
  • You must read and agree to the bursary terms and conditions

Submit clear copies of the following documentation along with your online application (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):

  • ID document (certified copy)
  • Matric statement of results/ certificate if available (certified copy)
  • Motivational letter stating why you should be selected to receive the bursary (read our tips on how to write a motivational letter for your bursary application)
  • Proof of university acceptance (on institutions letterhead)
  • Proof of residence
