The University of Johannesburg (UJ), which takes its name from the world-renowned city of Johannesburg, is a lively, varied, and dynamic institution. With strong African origins and a distinctive South African identity, the school is well-positioned to help fulfil the potential for growth in higher education on the Continent. UJ has grown into a diverse, inclusive, transformational, and collegial institution with over 50,000 students, including over 3,000 foreign students from 80 different countries.
