About TUT
Tshwane University of Technology was established in 2004 by the union of three technical colleges. In an effort to put things right, they merged to give all of their students access to our communities and an academic home. With seven schools offering degrees in teaching, the humanities, the arts, business and administration, engineering and technology, and science, they have quickly expanded to become South Africa's largest contact university. As per Times Higher Education (THE), TUT is ranked among the top 1000 universities globally, with its engineering programs ranking in the top 300. In South Africa as well, THE has us ranked seventh.
